A Valley Tradition Since 1932!

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Amy Denise Tijerina is a proud resident of Mission, Texas, where deep family roots and vibrant community traditions have shaped her life. For Amy, the Texas Citrus Fiesta is far more than an event it is a lifelong passion woven into her family’s legacy. Her connection began generations ago, with her grandparents contributing to the Fiesta’s rich history, and as a young girl, she was captivated by its magic, color, and meaning.

That childhood wonder blossomed into a full-circle journey as her own daughters carried on the tradition. Her oldest daughter was honored as Princess Ana the 58th, while her middle daughter served as Princess of Tangerine Blossom and her youngest as Princess of Lime Blossom each reflecting the pride and legacy of their family.

For the past four years, Amy has proudly served as Director of the Texas Citrus Fiesta, where she has brought new energy and purpose to the organization. Under her leadership, the Fiesta has grown beyond a single week of celebration into a year-round platform for mentorship, leadership, and community impact. She has introduced meaningful initiatives such as team-building experiences and mentorship programs, empowering young women to become confident leaders, give back to their communities, and carry forward traditions that will last for generations.

Driven by passion and guided by legacy, Amy continues to honor the past while shaping the future of the Texas Citrus Fiesta ensuring its spirit lives on in every young woman she inspires.
