A Valley Tradition Since 1932!

The Grand Tradition of the Royal Ball

Since 1932, the Royal Ball has served as the crowning jewel of the Texas Citrus Fiesta, a night where the community gathers in elegant attire to celebrate the rich agricultural heritage of the Rio Grande Valley. It is more than just a dance; it is a time-honored tradition where history and modern celebration intertwine, illuminating the spirit of The Texas Citrus Fiesta.

The evening unfolds with grace as the Royal Court presides over a series of storied traditions, including the elegant re-introduction of the duchesses and a sentimental father-daughter dance. After a refined dinner and a night spent celebrating on the dance floor, the festivities culminate in the prestigious announcement of the following year’s court.
